Project Search

Since its inception in 2004, CIG has funded hundreds of projects, boosting natural resource conservation while helping producers improve the health of their operations for the future. Use this tool to search for CIG projects based on any of the criteria listed below.

CIG projects from 2004-2009 may be missing information in the following categories: Resource Concern (specific), Conservation Practice, Production/Use.

Showing 491 - 500 of 1760 projects

Agriculture and Land-Based Training Association     |     CA     |     2015
The purpose of this project is to provide direct outreach and technology transfer to Historically Underserved Producers (HUPs) in Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito counties that increase adoption of winter cover cropping with efficacy in terms of farm productivity, conservation and profits.
Native Geographic     |     NH     |     2015
Monitor NLEB, and inform foresters and landowners about conservation practices which can benefit wildlife and forest health.
American Farmland Trust     |     DC     |     2015
The purpose of this project is to establish a pollinator Habitat credit program in Michigan. AFT will engage at least 15 business entities to fund the establishment of pollinator Habitat through this ‘Payment for Ecosystem Services’ program.
Idaho Department of Fish and Game     |     ID     |     2015
Determine how often SAFE projects are successful in establishing native forbs and grasses.Determine how seed mix design, seeding rates, equipment used for seeding (grain drill vs. native seed drill), timing of seeding (fall vs. spring), age of seeding, seedbed preparation (mechanical vs. chemical), post-seeding management practices (mechanical vs. chemical), and competition from existing and invading weed populations influence plant composition of CRP-SAFE projects to inform land managers about what SAFE management practices are successful at creating quality habitat and what management practices fail. Another objective is to evaluate CRP-SAFE fields by estimating demographic rates of grouse occupying a CRP-SAFE landscape in Power County Idaho where both CSTG and GSG occur.
World Resources Institute     |     DC     |     2015
The purpose of this project is to develop the frameworks and partnerships needed to stimulate the issuance of green bonds, and other innovative financing mechanisms, for natural infrastructure. This project connects investors, utilities, water-dependent companies, municipalities, EQIP eligible landowners, and environmental groups to build replicable templates and processes that unlock private sector financing for conservation, restoration and enhanced stewardship on America’s farms, forests and ranches.
Iowa State University of Science and Technology     |     IA     |     2015
The purpose of this project is to develop and stimulate the adoption of innovative approaches to monarch butterfly conservation while focusing on developing methods appropriate for use in the agriculturally-intensive Midwestern U.S. corn and soybean production regions.
Farm Foundation, NFP     |     IL     |     2015
The purpose of this project is to collect, analyze and disseminate site-specific soil health and economic information related to Cover Crops and no-till from a pilot project to producers interested in adopting these soil health improving practices.
Northern Tilth     |     NH     |     2015
Develop BMPs for Water Treatment Residuals to help manage P runoff.
Regents of the University of Minnesota     |     MN     |     2015
The purpose of this project is to demonstrate how farmers can apply inter-seeded cover crop planting and management technologies to reduce nitrate nitrogen losses in annual corn cropping systems in the upper Midwest. This project will demonstrate multiple alternatives including early establishment of Cover Crops through inter-seeding, as well as the incorporation of potentially income-producing winter annual oil-seed crops into existing cropping systems in the upper Midwest.
Indian Land Tenure Foundation     |     MN     |     2015
The purpose of this project is to increase engagement and participation of Indian Tribes in greenhouse gas markets. ILT will adapt greenhouse gas protocols to address Tribal issues and complete pilot projects that generate carbon credits for sale in greenhouse gas markets.
