Project Search

Since its inception in 2004, CIG has funded hundreds of projects, boosting natural resource conservation while helping producers improve the health of their operations for the future. Use this tool to search for CIG projects based on any of the criteria listed below.

CIG projects from 2004-2009 may be missing information in the following categories: Resource Concern (specific), Conservation Practice, Production/Use.

Showing 1201 - 1210 of 1760 projects

Colorado Cattlemen's Association     |     CO     |     2009
This proposal plans to increase implementation of rangeland monitoring programs among private landowners state-wide that yield acceptable, repeatable, and verifiable data.
Colorado State University     |     CO     |     2009
This agreement is to provide financial assistance to the Colorado State University to develop decision-making tools to enhance technology transfer for animal waste conversion to energy in Colorado. The focus of the project is to facilitate the adoption of waste to energy technology at Colorado livestock facilities.
Colorado State University     |     CO     |     2009
This project aims to demonstrate, educate, and extend the utility of the innovative technology "active remote-sensing" and innovative technique "site-specific management zones" for in-season nutrient management.
Colorado State University     |     CO     |     2009
This project aims to compare rotations, green manure crops, manure and compost applications as to their effect on potato yield and quality; and, to compare profitability of these management practices, to compare the use of green manure/cover crops and canola & camelina cash crops to water use of barley.
Colorado State University     |     CO     |     2009
This agreement is to provide financial assistance to the Colorado State University to field test and evaluate the ASCE standardized reference ET equation and recommended crop coefficients for estimating crop water use (ET) at selected Colorado locations. The project will test and evaluate a recently developed approach to estimating crop ET and incorporate it in an irrigation scheduling tool that can lead to improved irrigation efficiency.
Conservation Action Project (CAP)     |     OH     |     2009
This project aims to promote a broader adoption of cover crops in NW Ohio.
Conservation Collaboratives     |     VT     |     2009
Forest-based carbon offsets projects provide payments to landowners for securing carbon dioxide by planting trees, using improved forest management techniques, and avoiding development. Offsets present incentives for landowners to leave forests intact and manage for improved carbon storage and productivity. Emerging global carbon markets have already helped fund the conservation of large tracts of forests in California, the Midwestern United States, and internationally. The goal of this project is to adapt successful market approaches for carbon finance used in other regions for application to a degraded forestlands property in Vermont.
Daryl L. Knobloch     |     IL     |     2009
This project aims to provide a safe environment for the storage, mixing, loading and cleanup of agrichemicals, to retain incidental spillage, retain leakage, and to reduce pollution to surface water, groundwater, air and/or soil.
Defenders of Wildlife     |     CA     |     2009
This project aims to determine feasibility of applying eco-system service markets to benefit Calif ranchers and provide policy recommendations to state and federal authorities.
Del Norte Resource Conservation District     |     CA     |     2009
